VETERANS COMMITTEE

Veterans Haven in Winslow Township, NJ, is a two year Transitional Housing Program open to homeless veterans who meet program requirements. Training focuses psychological, social and vocational rehabilitation. The goal of the program is to enable veterans to secure permanent housing and return to vocations which will support them in years to come. The program has a 70% success rate. We provided 10 backpacks, containing clothing and personal care items, to the Administrator of Veterans Haven, Colonel Walter Nall, Retired Commander 119th CSSB, for distribution to veterans who completed the program.

This year, the NJ Run For the Fallen is scheduled September 20-24. As in the past, we will be manning hero markers in our local area on Friday and Saturday and we will be serving breakfast to the participants of the run on Saturday morning. For now, add this important event to your calendar. Information concerning hero marker places and times and how you can help will be available as we get closer to the event.
